About Alexis Ephie
Alexis is a second degree ICU RN at Norwalk Hospital. After graduating from Southern Connecticut State University with a bachelors in Anthropology, Alexis completed a second degree accelerated BSN program at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Since graduating, Alexis has worked as a professional nurse in Philadelphia, Washington DC and now back home in Connecticut. In her free time, Alexis enjoys reading, volunteering and spending time with her husband and two daughters.

About Monique Hodges
Originally from Wethersfield, CT where her parents still reside, Monique is the oldest of four children and currently resides in Westport. She graduated from the University of Connecticut’s School of Business, Storrs in 2009 where she was captain of the Women’s Track & Field team. She has worked for a marketing company, a technology company focused on K-12 schools, and in real estate.
Today, Monique is a dermatological sales representative at Galderma Laboratories, a founding member of the UConn Track Network, sits on the Westport Downtown Merchants Associations Board of Directors, and maintains a CT Realtors license. At Galderma, she is an active contributor to the Diversity & Inclusion Council and Women’s Leadership Network.
Joining the Westport Young Woman’s League (WYWL) in 2016, Monique is in her fourth year serving on the WYWL Board of Directors: two years with Public Relations, one year as Vice President, and currently as President.
In her free time, Monique enjoys spending time with her parter Brent, family, and friends. She also enjoys cooking, traveling and staying active with activities like Pilates and tennis.
About Sheri West
Sheri West has a passion for girls leadership and over 25 years of corporate and leadership development experience. She is the Founder, CEO & Chairperson of LiveGirl, a nonprofit organization that builds confident leaders. Prior to LiveGirl, Ms. West spent 16 years as a finance executive at General Electric Co., a multinational company, where she was instrumental in its Women’s Network and taught leadership development courses at the GE Management Development Institute. In 2014, she founded LiveGirl to “pay it forward” and prepare the next generation of female leaders.
Sheri regularly speaks at national conferences on the importance of building confidence and resilience in girls and co-hosts the Confident Podcast with her 17-year-old daughter. Her honors include being named “Best Friend to Girls” by Moffly Media, Community Champion by the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, “Connecticut’s Most Philanthropic Women” by Serendipity Magazine, a “Woman Empowering Women” by the Rowan Center, and a “Woman Of Inspiration” by the Connecticut Women’s Education and Legal Fund. Her education includes a BA Finance and Masters of Human Resources and Leadership Development from Michigan State University.
