Become A Mentor
She Cares and SHE WORKS Mentoring: Work one on one with girls helping to build their confidence and self-esteem and/or guide their professional career.
About SHE CARES:
SHE CARES (for grades 5-12) provides one-on-one mentoring with a focus on mental wellness and confidence.
Timing/Commitment: Availability for one 30-minute Zoom call once a week for the duration of one session (October-December or January-May). Attend virtual training once a year.
As an empowered female leader, you can “pay it forward” and provide a young woman with the advice and support she needs to launch. Especially now, as we lead through and beyond COVID-19, a mentor who can restore a sense of safety, connectedness, and hope is paramount.
Please contact shecares@golivegirl.org with any questions. You will receive a confirmation once you have been accepted as a She Cares mentor.
About SHE WORKS:
SHE WORKS (for college students) provides one-on-one mentoring with a focus on career readiness, including resume writing, career exploration, interview preparation, and more.
Timing/Commitment: May 15th-End of July, one hour weekly (Your vacation weeks will be blacked out)
Volunteers must be professional women who inspire and are passionate about the future generation. SHE WORKS mentors come from varied industries and functions, but all desire to pay it forward to help our college students launch.
Please contact Hannah@golivegirl.org with any questions. You will receive a confirmation once you have been accepted as a SHE WORKS mentor.
Become A Program Volunteer
Looking for women ages 21+ for one off programs such as our quarterly middle school leadership summits, high school panels, and pop up events.
These events range from one hour to four hours. YOU CHOOSE what works best for you!
Volunteers must LOVE working with middle and/or high school aged girls.
Volunteers should must be: Energetic, Creative, Compassionate and Empathetic Reliable
Volunteers with backgrounds in social work, education, life coaching and youth facilitation could be extremely helpful in preparation for spring and fall signature programs (i.e. Confidence Club curriculum, high school focus groups, team building opportunities).
One LiveGirl training per year is not mandatory but would be prime as we want to make sure volunteers are comfortable and equipped in whatever capacity they’re involved with LiveGirl. Training is offered semiannually - February and September.
Timing/Commitment:
One and Done - Pick one LiveGirl program out of the year to volunteer your time.
Quarterly - Choose one program per quarter to volunteer with LiveGirl.
Summer Fun - Pop in to camp between 9am-4pm for a day of fun. Lead an icebreaker, treat the girls to ice cream or simply join us during Brave Leaders or designLab!
Whenever Girl - Feel free to volunteer as much as your schedule permits. Stay in the know by following us on Instagram @golivegirl and subscribing to our mailing list.
