Job Description:
LiveGirl is seeking a full-time Director to lead SHE WORKS, our flagship career readiness and internship program. In this role, you will grow our employer network, refine our curriculum, and ensure an exceptional experience for every intern and mentor. This position is ideal for an experienced higher-ed/career services or HR leader who is energized by building equity in early career pathways.

Flexible Work Environment & Benefits:
One in-office day per week in Westport, CT; the rest hybrid/remote. Travel to employer sites and partner campuses as needed. Role reports to COO. The salary range is $75,000-85,000 plus benefits, including health, dental, vision, paid time off, and holidays, in a supportive and flexible working environment that values learning, innovation, and wellness.
Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Set the strategic vision and annual goals for SHE WORKS, aligning outreach, internships, and outcomes with LiveGirl’s mission and equity priorities.
2. Build and steward a diverse, high-quality employer network, including strategy for prospecting, onboarding, and deepening partnerships.
3. Own intern to employer matching and placement, ensuring between student readiness, employer expectations, and equitable access to high quality internship experiences.
4. Oversee internship compliance and risk management, including agreements, supervision standards, and proactive issue resolution throughout the internship cycle.
5. Design and oversee a data-informed student recruitment and vetting strategy, partnering with college career centers, advisory offices, and the Marketing Leader for targeted outreach.
6. Establish communication frameworks and feedback loops with employers, interns, and mentors to support program quality, continuous improvement and issue resolution.
7. Lead the design and facilitation of SHE WORKS training and cohort-based learning, iterating curriculum in response to participant feedback, labor market trends, and best practices.
8. Create and implement a mentor strategy, including recruitment, vetting, training, and ongoing professional development to build a strong, values-aligned mentor community.
9. Define and monitor key performance indicators, ensuring program quality through evaluations, data analysis, and employer site visits.
10.Oversee and coach SHE WORKS administrative support staff, ensuring strong program operations, effective system use (including HubSpot), and cross-functional coordination with Marketing, Development, and Operations.
11. Develop, manage, and report on the SHE WORKS budget; contribute to grant strategy, reporting, and storytelling using program data and outcomes. 12.Identify and pilot innovative tools, resources, and delivery models that expand college-aged women’s access to high-quality career navigation support.
Professional Experience/Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following credentials, background, and personal skills.
1. Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree in Higher Education, Career Development, or related field preferred.
2. Strong background (7+ years experience) in human resources or career guidance preferred.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
5. Inclusive, flexible, facilitative, and collaborative leadership style.
6. Demonstrated emotional intelligence, including the capacity for self-insight, learning, and growth.
7. Demonstrated passion and thought leadership for equity and inclusion.

Confidence Coach Position
LiveGirl is looking for professionals to join our team as a Confidence Coach for our next program cycle dates (Oct 6 - early December)!
*Connecticut residents only.
Pay it forward and mentor the next generation of fierce, female leaders. We are looking for HIGH ENERGY leaders to facilitate an after-school mentoring group with middle school girls for eight weeks. As a LiveGirl mentor, you will be trained on our evidence-based curriculum. This is your opportunity to champion women and girls and help close the female leadership gap.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Attending a mandatory professional development training
Facilitating an 8-week Confidence Club with middle school girls, weekly 75 minute sessions
Providing weekly updates to Program Director and our Professional Leadership Network
What is Confidence Club?
Confidence Club is an 8-week curriculum-based mentoring program that creates a safe space for girls to develop self-esteem and social-emotional intelligence, the essential building blocks of a confident leader. The small group (8-15 girls) meets weekly with a trained facilitator to share concerns and interests, thus providing an opportunity to connect with other girls and talk in a safe environment without judgment.
