Strengthening Title IX
Educate:
Title IX prohibits sex-based discrimination in any school or any other education program that receives funding from the federal government. Although TitleIX has protected millions of students and has allowed for a lot of progress, women and girls continue to encounter hurdles to an equal education— sexual harassment and assault continue to occur in universities and schools across the nation unreasonable rates. The U.S. Department of Education has proposed amendments to the existing TitleIX bill that would help ensure that no woman or other persons will experience sex-based discrimnation.

The U.S. The Department of Education “Invites Public Comment” for this issue, so it is important to make our voices heard when it is most important.
Provide feedback on sex-discrimination and education equality.
Urge for more inclusive language.
