Are you a high school student eager to be inspired and empowered? The LiveGirl Leadership Council (LLC) is your gateway to hearing from amazing female role models and connecting with a community of driven, like-minded girls.

What is the LLC?

The LLC is an exclusive group of high school girls from across Connecticut dedicated to female empowerment and gender equality. As a member, you'll have the unique opportunity to engage with influential women leaders and gain invaluable insights into their journeys and successes.

  1. Inspire and Empower: Hear directly from female role models who have made a significant impact in their fields and learn from their experiences.

  2. Connect and Grow: Build relationships with these trailblazing women and with other motivated students who share your passion for change.

Program Details:

  • Meetings: The Council meets monthly on Zoom, from 7:30-8:30 PM on the first Wednesday of each month.

  • Commitment: Regular attendance is crucial. Missing more than two meetings may affect your eligibility to remain on the Council.

Discussion/ Action Topics Include:

  • Empowering Women Leaders: Explore the qualities and strategies of successful female leaders and how to apply these lessons in your own life.

  • Breaking Stereotypes: Discuss common stereotypes about women and how to challenge and change these perceptions in your community.

  • The Role of Social Media: Analyze how social media can be a tool for empowerment and activism, and discuss responsible usage and online presence.

  • Navigating Challenges: Share personal experiences and strategies for overcoming obstacles related to gender, education, or career aspirations.

  • Community Impact: Identify issues in your community that need attention and brainstorm ways the Council can address them.

  • Mental Health Awareness: Discuss the importance of mental health, particularly for young women, and explore ways to promote mental wellness.

  • Diversity and Inclusion: Examine the importance of diversity within leadership and how to ensure inclusive practices in all areas of life.

  • Future Trends for Women: Predict upcoming trends in women’s rights and leadership and how the Council can prepare for and influence these changes.
