Summer Day Camp Director
Camp LiveGirl 2024
New Canaan, CT
Reports to Shamare G. Holmes
Camp LiveGirl is seeking a Summer Day Camp Director (CD) who loves working with youth and having fun in a structured, safe environment. The CD will have all the tools needed to navigate the beautiful campus of St. Luke’s School (SLS) while facilitating a high-octane day of social-emotional learning, STEAM, physical activity, leadership and team-building skills.
Essential Functions:
● Oversee the daily operation of Camp LiveGirl
● Manage a 3-week camp consisting of 50 middle school campers, up to 20 high school
camp counselors/CITS, and an Assistant Camp Director.
● Ensure programming goes as planned according to the detailed summer guide provided
by the Program Director.
● Implement safety protocols and standards as required by LiveGirl, St. Luke’s School,
and the OEC (Office of Early Childhood).
● Send weekly recap emails or Slack messages to the camper’s guardian(s).
● Distribute Camp LiveGirl post surveys at the end of each week.
● Maintain Camp LiveGirl’s Youth Camp License through the State of CT’s OEC.
● Deep clean SLS space, and manage the Extra Space Storage unit located in Stratford.
● Any other assigned duties within the director's scope.
Job Requirements:
● Must be 21 years of age or older.
● Must have transportation.
● Must have 3 years of experience in summer youth development and programming.
● Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Must be organized.
● Must be CPR and First Aid certified.
● Must provide a mandated reporter certificate.
● Must attend virtual camp counselor/CIT orientation.
● Must attend camp counselor/CIT overnight retreat in New York.
● Must complete designLab training at St. Luke’s School on Friday, June 21st.
Physical Requirements:
● Must be able to stand for long periods
● Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
● Must be able to walk across SLS campus

Confidence Coach Position
LiveGirl is looking for professionals to join our team as a Confidence Coach!
*Connecticut residents only.
Pay it forward and mentor the next generation of fierce, female leaders. We are looking for HIGH ENERGY leaders to facilitate an after-school mentoring group with middle school girls for eight weeks. As a LiveGirl mentor, you will be trained on our evidence-based curriculum. This is your opportunity to champion women and girls and help close the female leadership gap.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Attending a mandatory professional development training
Facilitating an 8-week Confidence Club with middle school girls, weekly 75 minute sessions
Providing weekly updates to Program Director and our Professional Leadership Network
What is Confidence Club?
Confidence Club is an 8-week curriculum-based mentoring program that creates a safe space for girls to develop self-esteem and social-emotional intelligence, the essential building blocks of a confident leader. The small group (8-15 girls) meets weekly with a trained facilitator to share concerns and interests, thus providing an opportunity to connect with other girls and talk in a safe environment without judgment.
