Exhibit: May 16 – 26, 2019
Event: Saturday, May 19, 2019, from 2-4 pm at the Carriage Barn Arts Center, New Canaan, CT
The Carriage Barn Arts Center, home to the New Canaan Society for the Arts, is partnering with LiveGirl for the 2nd year to host “The Art of Being a Girl” arts exhibit and celebratory event. This event will feature an artisan and performing arts showcase to benefit LiveGirl, a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides leadership development and girl empowerment in Connecticut. Submissions by local and regional artists are invited in all media that represent “an expression of the feminine essence.” Submission deadline is April 12, 2019. Selected works will be featured and available for sale and may be used for event promotion (PR, advertising, invitations, posters, email campaigns, event program).
Participating artists are invited and encouraged to attend the May 19 event.
LiveGirl is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower girls through year-round leadership development and mentorship, building social emotional intelligence and self-esteem. LiveGirl helps young women, especially those who need us most, realize their full potential and equips them to have a positive impact on the world. LiveGirl has partnerships with public schools, youth organizations, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Connecticut.
