Livegirl video contest

LiveGirl is excited to welcome New York Times bestselling author Lauren Oliver as a mentor for its upcoming LiveGirl Leadership Summit (for girls grades 5-8), to be held on Friday May 13th at the New Canaan Nature Center.

Lauren Oliver has written several young adult novels, including Before I Fall, Panic, and the Delirium trilogy, which have been translated into more than thirty languages. She is a 2012 E.B. White Read-Aloud Award nominee for her middle-grade novel Liesl & Po, as well as author of the fantasy middle-grade novel The Spindlers.  Panic has been optioned by Universal Pictures. Lauren is also co-founder of Paper Lantern Lit, the boutique literary development company.

To celebrate Lauren’s visit, LiveGirl is hosting a video contest for middle school girls. “We encourage contestants to get creative with telling us how they are LiveGirl SMART•STRONG• SPECIAL. This can be related to reading or writing or any power or passion that you might possess,” explained LiveGirl Founder & Executive Director Sheri West. “Winners will received a signed book and meet author Lauren Oliver plus a $50 Amazon gift card to buy more books!”
